Larger Than The Distance

You know of all my weaknesses-
How my every fault you must endure,
But you also know what's in my heart,
Though I sometimes fail to do my part,
How my love for you is sure.

Sorrows weigh and trials subdue;
They're not what life's about.
So we know when we reach the end of the rope,
That it's fed by faith; it endures by hope;
Our love is stronger than Doubt.

Work - a means to afford time with you.
How much is wasted to earn a dime.
How life has little and Eternity none,
When time is all I want and forever is all I need,
When all is said and done,
I know our love will outlast Time.

People die and things always change,
But nothing really ends.
I'll know when you take your last breath
That hope is still strong
And our lives will go on,
And our love is stronger than Death.

If I have my choice, we'll go together;
I'll take my every step right by your side.
So if the Angel of Death comes for me alone,
He'll meet my soul's resistance;
But if I succumb or if I fall
And we must be parted after all,
I'll know our love is larger than the distance.
